Pastor. Author. Husband. Dad.

Co-founder and Senior Pastor of United Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Léonce loves the local church and believes the gospel can form a people who love one another across every line that tends to divide us. United Church is that conviction lived out: a multiethnic, gospel-centered family in Atlanta.

His road to the pulpit ran through the football field. He played defensive line at the University of Oklahoma, where he was also an All-American heavyweight wrestler, then signed with the Atlanta Falcons and spent time with the New Orleans Saints. In 2011, he and his wife, Breanna, planted Renovation Church in Atlanta, which grew to more than a thousand people. Together they later replanted it as United Church.

Léonce is the author of Renovate: Changing Who You Are by Loving Where You Are. Building Teams That Last, written with Ryan Hartwig and Warren Bird, releases with IVP in 2027, and Untriggered follows in 2028. He writes on leadership, the church and public life, serves on nonprofit boards that promote human flourishing, coaches pastors across the country, and is completing a doctorate in Leadership and Spiritual Renewal.

Home is his favorite place. He and Breanna partner in ministry and in raising their four children, and every good thing he does flows from that table.
