In July of 2016, following the murders of Philando Castille and Alton Sterling, Pastor Léonce preached a landmark sermon for Renovation Church simply entitled, Justice. In this sermon he unpacks the Biblical narrative of God’s predisposition for equity and care for the oppressed.

 

Gospel & Race

Léonce was invited to the Vintage Church in Raleigh to teach on the Gospel and Race. For most of the history of the United States, popular Christianity has turned a blind-eye to the implications of the Gospel on race and ethnicity. In this teaching, Léonce unpacks many of the direct implications and applications that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus has on race and ethnicity.

Immigration

In an age in which everyone feels they must say something about everything, it is easy to not feel it necessary to speak out in moments of even clear and present crisis. But we must, as image-bearers, as human beings, as citizens, especially as Christians, speak now and denounce this horrid practise that is taking place at our southern border.
